"I am former member of SFI, Baby knows this, ask him": Suresh Gopi reiterates statement

THRISSUR: Suresh Gopi, the NDA candidate in Thrissur, has reiterated that he was a former member of SFI. "MA Baby knows this. I was in MA Baby's class. He is alive, you can clarify with him," Suresh Gopi said.

Suresh Gopi also spoke about meeting Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Gopi. "If no one interferes, I will see Gopi Ashan again. Many people including K Muraleedharan and Prasanth have come to my house seeking votes. They were all welcomed. Gopi Ashan not welcoming me is their political obligation and I do not see it as neglect," Suresh Gopi added.

Kalamandalam Gopi's son took to Facebook to claim that a famous doctor asked his father to bless Suresh Gopi, which created a controversy. As per the post, the said doctor also mentioned Kalamandalam Gopi getting Padma Bhushan.

However, Suresh Gopi denied all the allegations. He said that no one has been assigned the task of arranging a meeting with Gopi Ashan and if he is not able to seek blessings from him he can go to Guruvayur and do 'Manasapuja'.
