THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress working committee member Ramesh Chennithala on Tuesday said that the cases against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan are being dragged on because of the Chief Minister's secret understanding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that people will react against this. Chennithala was inaugurating the election convention of UDF candidate Dr Shashi Tharoor in Thiruvananthapuram.

"BJP will not open an account in Kerala. Modi's guarantees have all gone in vain. Every promise was a lie. The BJP is spreading a false campaign that they will get 400 seats. Results of 2004 will be repeated," Chennithala said.

"If Modi comes to power once again, they will rewrite the Constitution. The move is to make the country a religious state by implementing the CAA. The CPI and CPM have more opposition towards the Congress than towards Modi. Congress's main enemy is the BJP. LDF should reveal who its main enemy is. LDF convener EP Jayarajan is the bridge of the secret relationship between CPM and BJP," he added.
