Man tries to kill his wife by slitting her throat in Kochi, taken into custody

KOCHI: A man tried to kill his wife by slitting her throat in the middle of the road. The incident happened Wednesday morning on the Ernakulam Kalamassery Road. His wife identified as Neenu (26) has been admitted to a private hospital with serious injuries. The police have taken her husband Arshal into custody. He tried to kill his wife when she was going for work.

Arshal, who came in his scooter, attacked her at the AKG Road in Kalamassery. He tried to slit her throat using a knife. The couple got married six years ago and has been estranged for a year. The couple has a child. The police have started an investigation.
