Suresh Gopi does not need anyone's permission to come home, he is always welcome, says Kalamandalam Gopi

THRISSUR: Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Gopi welcomed Suresh Gopi to his home. In a Facebook post, Kalamandalam Gopi penned that Suresh Gopi does not need anyone's permission to see him or come home and that he is always welcome. He also said that anyone who loves him can always come to see him.

The incidents started when Gopi Asan’s son came forward with a Facebook post alleging that a famous doctor had called him and tried to influence his father for Suresh Gopi, the NDA candidate in Thrissur. Suresh Gopi responded that no one was assigned to meet Gopi Asan and if unable to seek his blessings, will go to Guruvayur and perform manasapuja. After it stoked a controversy, Gopi Asan’s son Reghu withdrew the note.

A doctor, whom his father cannot avoid called to bless Suresh Gopi. Called the doctor later and asked him not to come. The post also said that the doctor asked whether Asan doesn’t want Padma Bhushan. When this was discussed on social media, the post was withdrawn explaining that it was only to say that you should not exploit with love and that the discussion should end.
