THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan remarked that akin to the situation faced by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, there might be a similar campaign against the Kerala government and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He made these comments during an interview with a private television channel, emphasizing the uncertainty in Kerala leading up to the Lok Sabha elections. Govindan stated, "We will withstand any attacks that come our way, as Kejriwal's arrest serves as a warning that anyone could be targeted."
Govindan expressed optimism about the LDF's prospects in the Lok Sabha elections, while also condemning the central government for marginalizing a significant portion of the populace through the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), labeling it as a grave issue. He highlighted that Kejriwal's arrest underscores the employment of authoritarian tactics in the country.
