THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Submission of nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections in the state will end on Thursday. Starting from March 28, 143 people have submitted the papers in the state so far.
A total of 234 nomination papers were received. Kollam and Thrissur have the highest number (11 each). Kasaragod and Kannur have 10 people each. Pathanamthitta (3) is the least. Forms can be submitted today from 11 am to 3 pm. Scrutiny will be held on April 5.
Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul informed that 87 candidates filed their papers in the state on Wednesday alone. Thiruvananthapuram 5, Attingal 7, Kollam 5, Pathanamthitta 6, Mavelikara 3, Alappuzha 7, Kottayam 11, Idukki 10, Ernakulam 7, Chalakudy 6, Thrissur 13, Alathur 4, Palakkad 4, Ponnani 7, Malappuram 9, Kozhikode 9, Wayanad 7, Vadakara 5, Kannur 17, Kasaragod 10.
