train

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Another incident has surfaced of a beggar attacking a TTE on the Thiruvananthapuram-Kannur Jan Shatabdi Thursday morning. The official injured is Jaison Thomas. He was attacked soon after the train started moving. The attacker immediately jumped from the train. A search has been intensified for him.

The incident happened in the capital city. He spoke badly with the TTE when he asked for the ticket. The accused attacked the TTE when he told him that he cannot travel without a ticket. The official sustained injuries on his eye. He first spoke badly to other passengers and traders. TTE Jaison Thomas said that he pushed a shopkeeper standing on the platform and then entered the train.

‘A shabbily dressed man entered the train at Thiruvananthapuram station. He will be in his 50s. As soon as he entered the train, he tried to push the vendors. When I questioned that, he spat there. He then came to hit me. When he tried to scratch me, I moved away. Sustained an injury below my eye by his nail. When the train stopped after pulling the chain, the guard came and gave me first aid. My colleagues also came. I continued duty as the injury was not that deep. Will seek treatment after reaching Ernakulam,’ he said.
