Jaison Thomas of Ernakulam Pookkattupadi Padayattil House was attacked by a beggar. Jaison, who sustained nail injuries on his face, sought treatment in the hospital. The incident happened when Jaison was checking the tickets just before the departure of the train.

When Jaison asked for the ticket, the accused without replying entered the pantry coach. Jaison followed him as he walked through the compartment. Jaison told him that it was time for the train to leave and asked him to get off immediately. Hearing this, the enraged beggar spat on Jaison's pants. He also tried to hit Jaison. He then pulled the mask Jaison was wearing. Jaison then jumped off the train after the TTE pulled the chain.

Meanwhile, Jaison informed another TTE about the incident. The railway police came then. When the train reached Ernakulam, Jaison after duty got a TT injection.
