THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: High Court questions enforcement directorate in masala bond case. The High Court directed the ED to at least convince the court of the need to interrogate Thomas Isaac. While considering Isaac's plea against the ED summons, the High Court directed that the court should be made aware of why Isaac is being interrogated.

KIIFB also contended in the court that the ED's conduct was an abuse of power. Not only KIIFB, but about 20 states have raised money through masala bonds. KIIFB collected money on behalf of the state government and utilized it for the needs of the people. KIIFB informed the court that more than 200 documents were signed. Justice TR Ravi directed the ED to convince the court why they needed to question Thomas Isaac after this. The case was adjourned to next Tuesday. The court also said that the previous order that no drastic action should be taken till then will remain in place.
