Man, son on bike killed in accident in Alappuzha, mother in serious condition

ALAPPUZHA: A man and his son were killed in an accident at Purakkad in the district. The dead have been identified as Sudev (42) of Purakkad and his son Aadhidev (12). The accident happened when their bike hit a tanker lorry. Sudev’s wife Vineetha (40) sustained serious injuries in the accident.

The accident happened Sunday morning. The family were on their way to the temple. The bike which lost control after hitting a cycle carrying fish, collided with the lorry. Sudev died on the spot and Adhidev in the hospital. Vineetha is undergoing treatment at the Vandanam Medical College Hospital.

An eye-witness said Sudev was lying on the road. His wife and son were taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Sudev was later taken in the next ambulance. They lost control and struck the lorry after hitting the cycle.
