Mother commits suicide after killing two children; incident in Kasaragod

KASARAGOD: Mother and children found dead inside the house. The incident took place at Cheemeni Chembrakanam in Kasaragod. Sajana (36) and her children Gautam (8) and Tejas (4) are the ones who were found dead. It is concluded that Sajana committed suicide after strangling her children. Sajana is the wife of TS Ranjith, a native of Njandadi and a sub-engineer of KSEB, Choyamkode. The police have reached the spot.

They were found dead on the first floor of the house in the afternoon. The dead bodies will be shifted to the Kanhangad District Hospital where the post-mortem will also be conducted. The cause of suicide is not clear. Sajana, the daughter of Narayan and Yamuna, is a panchayat employee.

Meanwhile, a woman jumped into a well with three kids in Erumapetty Vellatanjoor. Two of these children died. The deceased have been identified as Abhijay (7) and Adidev (6). Their mother Sayana (29) and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Agnika are undergoing treatment at the Thrissur Medical College Hospital. The incident happened around 2 pm today. The body of one of the dead children has been kept at the Vellarakkad Social Health Center and the body of the other at the Thrissur Medical College Hospital.
