Who is Don Bosco? Police dept in a fix over Arunachal death case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the incident of the mysterious death of a Malayali couple in a hotel room, the Arunachal Police have now been confounded with one name — Don Bosco. The police found many emails directed towards this name from the account of the victims. Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner P. Nidhin Raj, the cyber police are working tirelessly to unravel the mystery.

Naveen, his wife Devi and their friend Arya were found dead at Hotel Blue Pine Hotel in Ziro Valley, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh last Tuesday. Earlier, the police doubted that ‘Don Bosco’ was the sobriquet used by Arya to send emails, but the assumptions were proved false.

The e-mails, which explain extraterrestrial life and afterlife, are exchanged in a cryptic language. Police believe it is unlikely for Arya to have such adroitness in such a language. It was Naveen who misled Devi and Arya to their deaths. Police have not yet dismissed the doubts, and still believe that it was Naveen who is really ‘Don Bosco’. It is yet to be ascertained whether any help was received from outside.

In an email shared with her friends three years ago, Arya talked mostly about alien life. However, it was learned that the email first came from the address ‘Don Bosco’, and Arya only forwarded it to her friends. After hearing the news of the death, the friends who received the message handed it over to the police.

The police investigation found that the three believed that the earth would be destroyed by the floods and they immediately wanted to start life on a different planet.
