Bus and bike crash claims life of youth in Malappuram

accident-

MALAPPURAM: A bike rider died after a collision with a bus in Vadapuram, Malappuram. Muhammad Ashraf (35), a resident of Othai was killed in the incident. Ashraf's wife, Rinziya and his children, Janna Fathima and Misla Fathima, who were also on the bike, sustained injuries and have been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

The bus collided with Ashraf's bike as he was traveling towards Nilambur. Ashraf became trapped under the front wheel of the bus, which then moved forward, dragging him a short distance. Local residents who heard the noise rushed to the scene and informed the bus driver that a person was stuck under the tire. They instructed the driver to reverse the bus, allowing them to free Ashraf from beneath the wheel.

Initially, locals took Ashraf's wife and children, who had fallen onto the road, to Nilambur District Hospital and later to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. Unfortunately, Ashraf succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. His body has been transferred to a private hospital in Areekode.
