TEHRAN: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has announced that the military operation against Israel has concluded from Tehran's side. The president of Iran stated that Iran's forces targeted Israel's military bases in response to a deadly strike on Iran's consulate building in Damascus and that the enemy was taught a lesson through the attack. He also praised the Iranian army which carried out the attack.

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Sardar Bagheri, also said that the military operation against Israel has "concluded" from Tehran's side. He said that Iran will take further action if Israel retaliates to its attack.

Iran, on Saturday, attacked Israel with more than 200 projectiles, in response to an attack on its consulate in Syria. The United Nations has also called on both Israel and Iran to exercise restraint. Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon closed their airspace in the wake of the attack.

Meanwhile, India has expressed concern over the Iran-Israel conflict. The embassies are in touch with Indians in these countries, the Ministry of External Affairs said.

Two weeks ago, Israel had launched an airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria. Seven people, including two generals, were killed in the attack. Following this, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that Iran would retaliate against the attack.
