Santhosh set Priviya ablaze when she was going to meet her fiancé on Vishu Day

PALAKKAD: It is hinted that Santhosh, the accused who killed Priviya by setting her ablaze in Kodumunda, had threatened her months ago. Reports said the two were in a relationship but later Priviya backed out of the relationship. Priviya’s marriage was fixed to April 29th. Priviya’s parents told police that Santhosh had asked her to withdraw from the marriage. Priviya (30) of Thrithala Pattithara Kanganath Parambil was set on fire when she was going to meet her fiancé.

Her fiancé was waiting for her for a long time and not seeing her, he came in search of her. After committing the crime, Santhosh ended his life. It is believed that Priviya got close to Santhosh soon after her divorce.

Santhosh wanted to marry her, but Priviya later backed out of the relationship. It is belived that this grudge may have led him to commit the murder.

Priviya was an employee of a private hospital. Her charred body was found on the roadside adjacent to the field Sunday morning. The grass around it was also found burnt. A scooter was also found nearby. He may have set her ablaze after stabbing her to death. The knife used for the murder has been recovered.
