Case filed against Muslim League activist for post against K K Shailaja

KOZHIKODE: A case has been registered against a Muslim League activist for sharing a post on social media against K K Shailaja, the LDF candidate of Vadakara Lok Sabha constituency. The case was registered against Muslim League activist Aslam, New Mahe panchayat secretary. The complaint is that a fake campaign was made against Shailaja in a WhatsApp group called 'Mangadu Snehatheeram'. The police have slapped rioting charges against him. Shailaja had reacted emotionally to the cyberattacks in the press meet convened the other day. The case was filed after this.

Meantime, Shailaja filed a complaint with the election commission against UDF’s cyberattacks. The complaint was filed against her opponent candidate Shafi Parambil. The complaint said the UDF candidate and activists are carrying out severe cyberattacks. The complaint filed sought immediate action for the personal attacks through social media.

The complaint said indecent images and videos are being circulated through the Instagram page and obscene videos are being spread in family groups. They are personally attacking through fake video clips. She had requested that no one should believe what is being circulated.
