WAYANAD: BJP state president K Surendran has alleged that Congress was behind the attack carried out against a church in Telangana. He also alleged that the Congress was spreading false propaganda against the BJP after realising that the Modi government has good support from the religious minorities. Surendran raised the allegations against Congress while speaking at a public meeting as part of his election tour in Engapuzha.

"Two days ago, a priest was attacked in Telangana by Congressmen. Congressmen are also behind the attack on the church. More such attacks are likely to take place in the future. Similar attacks may occur in Delhi and Kerala. Telangana is ruled by Congress. The attackers were not arrested as the Congress was behind the attack. If Sangh Parivar was behind the attack, why are the police not arresting the culprits? Why not take strong action? All this is done by Congress. The Congress is cheating the religious minorities. Both Left and Right fronts are cheating the people," Surendran said.

"Rahul Gandhi is cheating the Muslim League. He is questioning the self-esteem of the Muslim League. He is saying that even KSU activists should not raise the flag of the League. Congress cannot win any parliamentary constituency without the support of the League. He urged workers to hide the Muslim League's flag to ensure that no one knew about the support received from the League. A huge defeat awaits Rahul," Surendran added.
