Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is unwell; will not attend Ulgulan Nyay Rally in Ranchi; X post from Jairam Ramesh

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is unwell, due to which he will not participate in the joint rally organized by the 'India' alliance in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh disclosed this through the official X post. President Mallikarjun Kharge and other Congress leaders will attend the rally.

"Shri Rahul Gandhi was all set to campaign today in Satna and Ranchi where the INDIA rally is being held. He took ill suddenly and is unable to leave New Delhi for the present. Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji is of course attending the Ranchi rally after addressing a public gathering in Satna." Jairam Ramesh noted on X.

The rally at Prabhat Tara Maidan in Ranchi is the second major campaign event of the India Alliance. The name given to the event is 'Ulgulan Nyay Rally'. The first rally of the India Alliance was held on March 31 at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. The first rally was against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This was ten days after the arrest.
