Stop underestimating Rahul Gandhi, the politician: BJP leader Smriti Irani

NEW DELHI: BJP leader Smriti Irani called the attention of party workers to Rahul Gandhi’s metamorphoses into a real politician, which has mostly gone unacknowledged in political circles.

Smriti Irani:

“He is using new tactics. There is a change in his style and the years of struggle is finally seeing success. When Rahul talks about caste and wears a white T-shirt in Parliament, he is implicitly sending a message to the youth of the country. He is now using a different approach to keep afloat his chances within Indian politics. It would be foolish to write him off as an immature politician in 2024.

During last year’s elections, Rahul used to visit temples during the final stages and was ridiculed for his soft Hindutva approach. It seems now he has dropped the approach and his moving towards the volatile caste politics. The change is something of concern for the BJP camp. He is learning from his mistakes.”
