Complaint lodged with ECI against Thomas Isaac alleging fresh violation of model code of conduct

PATHANAMTHITTA: The UDF filed a complaint with the Election Commission against Dr TM Thomas Isaac, the LDF candidate in Pathanamthitta, alleging violation of the model code of conduct. It is alleged in the complaint that pamphlets are being distributed in the name of Kudumbashree and seeking votes. The complaint was filed by DCC president Satheesh Kochuparampil.

This is the second time that the UDF has lodged a complaint against Thomas Isaac. The commission had issued a warning to Isaac on the complaint citing his participation in the official program of Kudumbashree. At that time, the commission had suggested that Isaac's was a violation of election rules and should not participate in government programs. Isaac's response to the incident was that he did not know that the Kudumbashree meeting was convened by the CDS and that it was a failure on the part of the activists and such incidents will not happen again. Isaac also accused the UDF of making such complaints out of fear.
