Kerala cabinet decides to allot more Plus One seats in Malappuram

students

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government, in a cabinet meeting on Thursday, has decided to allot more Plus One seats in Malappuram. Thirty percent seats in government schools and twenty percent seats in aided schools will be increased. Due to the lack of required seats, there has been a crisis in Malappuram, where Plus One admission was almost impossible for many students. Due to this, the decision to increase the seats was taken even before the SSLC result came out. The government was widely blamed for children not getting admission due to the lack of seats.

SSLC result will come next week. The result was announced on May 19 last year. Second year Higher Secondary Examination Result and Vocational Higher Secondary Examination Result will be released on May 9.

A total of 4,27,105 students appeared for the SSLC exam this year. This includes 2,17,525 boys and 2,09,580 girls. 10,863 teachers participated in the evaluation camp in 70 camps across the state. The evaluation was completed over fourteen days from April 3 to 20. The tabulation, grace mark entry, etc are being completed at Pareeksha Bhavan for declaration of results.
