KPCC president post belongs to me; will soon take over post, says K Sudhakaran

KOCHI: K Sudhakaran said that he will soon take over the post of the KPCC president. Speaking to the media, he said that he would take over the post only after discussing with the Congress High Command.

"There are no problems within the party. I will take over the post only after holding a discussion with the High Command. The KPCC president post belongs to me. I can go to Thiruvananthapuram and take over the post anytime," Sudhakaran said.

It is said that K Sudhakaran is likely to take over the post of KPCC president on Wednesday. The High Command has reportedly given him the nod to take over the post. Earlier, K Sudhakaran had expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in returning the post of KPCC president to him. Following this, the AICC intervened to put an end to the controversy.

Meanwhile, K Sudhakaran also responded to the foreign trip of the Chief Minister and his family. Speaking to the media, Sudhakaran said that the Chief Minister was absconding from the state.

"The Chief Minister is absconding from the state. Is he mentally stable? He might have gone abroad due to fear of losing the elections. If there is a sponsor for the CM's trips abroad, he ought to disclose it publicly. The CPM should respond to this. A Chief Minister has gone abroad for a private trip. Who has been given the temporary charge of the Chief Minister? The action of the Chief Minister who left without saying anything is not correct. Isn't he the only Chief Minister that the Left has? Doesn't he want to go for campaigning in other states? What political responsibility does the Chief Minister have?" he asked.
