Popular influencer raises troubling allegations against 'Manjummel Boys' director

May 7th saw the OTT premiere of the highest-grossing Malayalam movie ever—Manjummel Boys. The movie’s rousing entry on OTT is now marred by some tawdry sexual allegations. Popular social media influencer Prapti Elizabeth is back again in the spotlight levelling serious allegations against Chidambaram S Poduval, the director of the hit film. Though Prapti refrained from directly naming him, the implicit taunts are conspicuously pointing fingers at Chidambaram.

“Please don’t drink around him and pass out, because that’s what he is into. He is now the director of the movie with record-breaking views” This was Prapti’s implicit mention of the escapades committed by the alleged director.

Back on March 2, 2024, Prapti first came with an allegation against Chidambaram, sending shockwaves across the industry. According to her, the incident took place almost three years back during the filming of Chidambaram’s debut movie ‘Jan.e.Man’. Prapti was cast in the movie in one cameo role.

And now the social media influencer is back again firing cannonballs of allegations at the director. While many have already backed Prapti on the issue, contrarian voices are also on the rise. Sceptics are still unsure why Prapti, a popular influencer, haven’t yet complained to the police on the issue. There is also an allegation that she raised the incident only three years after the alleged assault.

The veracity of the claims is still in question while the alleged director has not yet responded to the issue. It should be seen how the director will tackle the slew of allegations that have cast a dark shadow on the movie's glorious success.
