Plus Two, VHSE exam results declared, 78.69 percent of students pass, 39, 242 students secure full A+ grade

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The results of the Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations have been declared by the Kerala DHSE. 3,74,755 people appeared for the Plus Two exam in the regular category. Of this, 2,94,888 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 78.69, which is a drop of 4.26 per cent compared to last year. In 2023, the pass percentage was 82.95 per cent.

1,81,466 boys and 1,93,289 girls appeared for the exams. Out of 1,89,411 candidates who appeared for the exam from Science group, 1,60,696 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 84.84. In the Humanities group, 51,144 out of 76,235 students qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 67.09. Out of 1,09,109 candidates in Commerce, 83,048 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 76.11.

Out of 1,63,920 candidates who appeared for the examination from government schools, 1,23,046 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 75.06. Out of 1,84,490 candidates who appeared for the examination from aided schools, 1,52,147 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 82.47. In the unaided category, 26,071 appeared and 19,425 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 74.51. Out of 274 students who appeared in the special school category, 270 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 98.54. 39,242 students secured A Plus in all subjects in regular higher secondary category. Last year it was 33,815.

Out of 1494 candidates who appeared in Technical Higher Secondary category, 1406 qualified for higher studies. The pass percentage is 70.01. 73 students secured A plus in all subjects. A total of 4,29,327 people appeared for the exam in all categories.

Ernakulam recorded the highest pass percentage at 84.12. The district with the lowest pass percentage is Wayanad. The pass percentage is 72.13. 63 schools secured 100 percent pass. There are seven government schools in this. The SAY aka improvement exams will be held from June 12 to 20.
