More rains with strong winds expected on Wednesday night; IMD with forecast

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian meteorological department has warned about rains in the state on Wednesday night. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in all the districts of Kerala during the next three hours. Strong winds with a speed of up to 40 kmph will accompany the rains.

A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department today in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.

16-05-2024: Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam.

18-05-2024: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam.

19-05-2024: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram.

According to IMD, rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in Kerala will be rampant between May 15 to 19.
