Dispute with Mayor: Court dismisses Yadhu's plea

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court (three) on Monday dismissed the plea filed by KSRTC driver Yadhu requesting the court to monitor the police investigation into the incident where Mayor Arya Rajendran and her husband Sachin Dev MLA blocked the bus driven by him.

The government counsel argued that the crime was not serious and that the petitioner might have filed the plea considering the importance of those involved in the case. The counsel also informed the court that several cases have been registered with the Cantonment Police on the grounds of obstruction of official duty and a similar investigation is going on in this case as well. The court dismissed the petition after considering the police report.
