KOTTAYAM: Actor and NDA candidate of Thrissur Constituency, Suresh Gopi visited a temple Monday morning and offered prayers, on the eve of counting of votes of the Lok Sabha polls. The actor visited the famous Ettumanoor Mahadevar temple Monday morning at 6 with his family. Suresh Gopi offered thulabharam and a rare offering ‘anchu para’ to Ettumanoorappan.

His wife Radhika, son Gokul and other relatives accompanied the actor. He performed darshan after standing in a queue and followed all the temple rituals. Following Suresh Gopi's directive, the devaswom and the police banned taking pictures of the offerings inside the temple.

Since last Friday it was being circulated that Suresh Gopi will reach the temple. He visited the temple today. The actor refused to talk to the media standing there after knowing the actor’s visit. The media tried to find his reaction from the time he reached the temple to the time he returned, but he kept mum.

He responded that he came to offer prayers to Ettumanoorappan like an ordinary devotee. He just bowed, smiled and walked away when the mike was shown towards the actor to know his response. It is reported that he spoke to other devotees who came to the temple but did not respond on any political matters.
