"Led from front, gave hope and inspiration": BJP says Surendran is architect of party's first-ever LS poll win in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As BJP recorded its first Lok Sabha polls win in the state, the party's Facebook page has lauded K Surendran for being the architect of the win. In a post in BJP Keralam, the party said that behind Suresh Gopi's resounding victory in Thrissur and BJP's all-time best performance in Kerala is the organizational skill of a strong leader K Surendran.

"Behind the landslide victory of Suresh Gopi in the Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency and BJP's all-time best performance in Kerala, there is the organizational skills of K Surendran, a strong leader. By coordinating the party workers, he was able to carry out effective grassroots campaigns.

K. Surendran led his party workers from the front to not give up in the continuous efforts made by the Congress-Communist alliance to defeat the BJP in Kerala and gave inspiration and hope of success to everyone. He has done an excellent job as the state president and will be an asset to the party in the upcoming assembly elections as well," the post reads.

Meanwhile, the BJP has increased its vote share in the state. The vote share increased by 1.04 percent to 16.68 percent from 15.64 percent last time. This time, 6927111 people voted for Congress while CPM got 5100964 votes. CPI got 1212197 votes and BJP got 3296354 votes. Indian Union Muslim League got 1199839 votes. Kerala Congress (M) got 272418 votes. BDJS secured 19.74 percent votes in Kottayam.
