THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chaos erupts in the state Congress despite its good success in the Lok Sabha elections. His camp is raising the allegation that Congress working committee member Ramesh Chennithala, who served as the chairman of the campaign committee in the elections, is being isolated. It is also informed that such attitude will not be allowed and Chennithala will be ready for a public response if necessary.

The complaint is that he has been facing insults in the party for some time now. Opposition leader VD Satheesan and UDF convener MM Hassan did not give Chennithala a chance to speak at the UDF meeting held on Thursday. In protest against this, Chennithala returned without attending the banquet organized by the opposition leader. However, the Congress leaders explain that when he was invited to give a speech, he made it clear through a gesture that he was not giving a speech. The leadership is also angry that the media was informed about this later.

A complaint was raised that Chennithala was not informed about the UDF meeting held before this. But party sources said that since he was on a foreign visit with his family, the personal staff were briefed and sent messages to him.
