The teaser of Urvashi and Parvathy starrer Ullozhukku is going viral now. Ullozhukku is the debut feature film of Christo Tomy, the National Award winner and director of Netflix's Curry and Cyanide, based on the Koodathayi murder case. The film will hit theatres on June 21. What Urvashi said about the experience of acting in the film is getting attention now.

Urvashi said that it took four years to make the film and had she missed it, it would have been a big loss. "Christo Tomy has been waiting for four years to do this film. He has been waiting for me since 2018 and I did it at the end of 2022. He has been waiting for me for that long. I agreed because I couldn't say no to him again."

"After acting in this movie, I realized that if I had missed it, it would have been a great loss. It is a movie that combines thriller feel and emotions. I acted in knee-high water for 40 days. My legs turned black. It was shot by pumping water from the stream. It was pumped out in the morning. This was the method."
"There were some hardships. Things got really bad because of constantly standing in the water. It was decided to use boots at the end. We didn't think of that in the beginning. We think that we will get good results after the movie is released"

Alencier, Prashant Murali, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Jaya Kurup and others are also in the film. Ullozhukku is co-produced by Sanjeev Kumar Nair under the banner of Reverie Entertainment and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey under the banners of RSVP & MacGuffin Pictures.

The film's script written by Christo Tomy, had won the first prize of Rs 25 lakh in the 'Cinestaan India' script competition held at the national level in 2018, led by a jury consisting of Aamir Khan and Raj Kumar Hirani. The second runner-up in the same competition was Laapataa Ladies, a screenplay directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan.

Christo Tomy had won the Golden Lotus Award for Best Director in the Non-Feature Section at the 63rd National Awards for his short film Sweetheart and the Silver Lotus Award for Best Debut Director in the Non-Feature Section at the 61st National Awards for his short film Virgin.
