Ten years of washing cars in Dubai; expatriate Malayali Shefiq meets tragic end in bike accident

DUBAI: A Malayali youth who was undergoing treatment after being hit by a bike died in Dubai. The deceased is Shefiq (38), a resident of Kanichira, Nileshwaram, Kasaragod. Shefiq, who was walking on the road, was hit by a bike. The accident happened four days ago in Deira, Dubai. Shefiq died yesterday while undergoing treatment at the hospital due to serious injuries. He had been washing cars in Dubai for ten years. His wife is Zeenat and they have a son named Muhammad Shah. Shefiq is the son of Razak, an auto driver and former expatriate, and Tahira. Burial will take place in Dubai

Meanwhile, the expatriate Malayali was found dead in Oman. Sajeesh (39), a native of Thrissur Mapranam, was found dead on May 26 in Jardah. The body is kept in a hospital mortuary in Muscat. There was a delay in completing the procedures due to a lack of the original passport. Prakash Tadatil, Tajuddin, Jijo PK and Suresh, Kairali workers of Sur region, said that they hope to be able to send the dead body home in the coming days after completing the procedures.
