NEW DELHI: National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Subodh Kumar Singh said that the question paper of the NEET UG exam was not leaked and that the admission process for medical courses will go on without any hitch. He said that the complaint was raised against only 1600 students out of 24 lakh students who appeared for the exam and that allegations were raised only against six of the 4750 exam centres.

Meanwhile, a Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding the review of the examination results.

A student named Shreyansi Thakur filed a petition in the Delhi High Court through her mother questioning the decision of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to grant grace marks for a question in Physics in the medical entrance examination. The court asked the National Testing Agency to state its position in this regard. The court will consider the matter again on June 12.

Meanwhile, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Junior Doctors Network has called for a CBI inquiry into alleged discrepancies and irregularities in the NEET exam. It has also requested a re-examination from the NTA.
