THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Will Suresh Gopi, the BJP candidate who won from Thrissur constituency, be inducted into the third Modi Government, is doubtful. As he has committed some films, he is unlikely to be inducted into the cabinet. However, the central leadership wants him to become the minister. The BJP central leadership has offered him a cabinet berth as he is the first elected BJP MP from Kerala. However, Suresh Gopi has requested to avoid him.
He is still in Thiruvananthapuram. It is also heard that he may go to Delhi at 12.30 pm. However, there is no confirmation in this regard. It was heard earlier that he would visit some temples in the morning before taking the oath, but that has not happened. He has not responded on this matter. It is reported that the BJP central leadership is pressuring him to become a minister.
Suresh Gopi has four films including big budgets to complete. This includes half completed films. Reports said that it will take at least two years to complete the films. Suresh Gopi had earlier informed the leadership of the concern that reaching the cabinet would hinder this.
Narendra Modi's NDA government will take oath today at 7.15 pm in Rashtrapati Bhavan today. President Draupadi Murmu will administer the oath. About 9,000 guests including heads of state, religious leaders, rat miners who conducted rescue operations in Uttarakhand tunnel, railway employees manufacturing the Vande Bharat, beneficiaries of central projects, ambassadors of 'Vikasit Bharat' will participate.
The TDP and JDU have been promised a cabinet minister, two ministers of state and more aid packages for both states. LJP, Shiv Sena, NCP JDS and Apna Dal may get a cabinet minister or minister of state with independent charge. Minister of State for Jana Sena.
