Modi 3.0 with 72 ministers sworn in, Suresh Gopi and George Kurian from Kerala

NEW DELHI: When Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister for the third time, Kerala will be having two Ministers of State- Suresh Gopi (65), who won from Thrissur, and BJP State General Secretary George Kurian (63). The 72-member cabinet was sworn in at a grand ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath.

Around 7,000 guests including heads of state of neighboring countries participated in the ceremony which started at 7.15 pm yesterday. Suresh Gopi, who came to Delhi after his request to be postponed to focus on the film was rejected, and George Kurian, who was appointed only when he was called at the last minute, are also ministers of state. George Kurien will be made Rajya Sabha member. Both took an oath in the name of God. There are five minority MPs, including Kurian, the only Christian representative in the cabinet. The caste equation is as follows: OBC-27, Scheduled Caste-10, Scheduled Caste-5. Seven women.

25 out of 30 cabinet ministers are from BJP. Allies TDP, JDU, JDS, LJP and HAM will also have cabinet ministers. A Cabinet and Minister of State for TDP and JD(U) parties. BJP president JP Nadda, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and others are the new cabinet ministers. With JP Nadda becoming the minister, a new BJP president will be chosen.

Cabinet rank for Ram Mohan Naidu(TDP), Lalan Singh(JDU), Chirag Paswan(LJP), HD Kumaraswamy(JDS) and Jitan Kumar Manjhi(HAM) from allies.
