Modi 3.0 with 72 ministers sworn in, Suresh Gopi and George Kurian from Kerala

NEW DELHI: When Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister for the third time, Kerala will be having two Ministers of State- Suresh Gopi (65), who won from Thrissur, and BJP State General Secretary George Kurian (63). The 72-member cabinet was sworn in at a grand ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath.

Around 7,000 guests including heads of state of neighboring countries participated in the ceremony which started at 7.15 pm yesterday. Suresh Gopi, who came to Delhi after his request to be postponed to focus on the film was rejected, and George Kurian, who was appointed only when he was called at the last minute, are also ministers of state. George Kurien will be made Rajya Sabha member. Both took an oath in the name of God. There are five minority MPs, including Kurian, the only Christian representative in the cabinet.
