Great opportunity for expats; Work permit, residency visa in five days

ABU DHABI: The new action of the UAE government is a big relief for those seeking job abroad. The time to process documents required to obtain work permits and residency visas has been reduced from 30 days to five days across the UAE. The new action is after the second phase of the Work Bundle platform was introduced yesterday.

The government introduced the new platform to ease the steps required to hire workers. Workers can also use this platform to renew their work permits. The first phase of this was introduced in March in Dubai. The second phase of the work bundle will cover around six lakh companies and over seven million workers. The Work Bundle platform is presently only available on the workinuae.ae website. The officials informed that its mobile application will also be available soon.

Eight types of employment and residency procedures have been condensed into a single platform. Work bundling avoids duplication of procedures and simplifies services for recruiting new employees.
