Watchtower, museum, cafeteria, and solar boat for water travel: New tourist destination for people of Kochi; huge project of 5 crores

A suspension bridge across the Thodupuzha River and a riverside walkway till Kacherithazham will be built by spending Rs 5 crore allocated to Muvattupuzha Municipal Corporation in the first phase under the Amritham Project of the Central Government.

The municipality is aiming for extensive tourism development with the help of the central and state governments and the development department. Muvattupuzha will become a hub for tourists. Dreamland Park is located in the heart of the city. Most of the park's four-and-a-half-acre area is natural. The park has been built by retaining the rocks, bamboo forests, hills etc. 50 lakh renovation work to make the park more attractive will begin soon.

* Sanctioned in Phase I: ₹ 5 crore

* Suspension bridge from Dreamland Park across Thodupuzha to Petta

* Riverwalk from Petta to Kacherithazham

* ₹ 8 crore in the second phase

The construction will begin once the soil test is completed and the DPR is done. Ernakulam DTPC will supervise the construction.
