Actress Raai Laxmi has a large following in Malayalam as well as other South Indian languages. The actress debuted in Malayalam with the Mohanlal film 'Rock N Roll.' She later went on to star in several Malayalam films alongside prominent actors, including Mammootty. She played notable characters in a number of Malayalam films such as 'Annan Thambi', 'Chattambinaadu', '2 Harihar Nagar' and 'Ividam Swargamanu'.

After a long gap, Raai Laxmi is now gearing up to become active again in Malayalam cinema through the film 'DNA'. Some of the remarks made by the actress on issues such as casting couch in some recent interviews had paved the way for a lot of discussions. Raai Laxmi has now opened up regarding her collaboration with actor Suraj Venjaramoodu. She said that she was often unable to even look at the actor's face during the shooting.

"I acted with Suraj in films such as 'Chattambinadu' and 'Annan Thambi'. He is a person who always cracks jokes and makes people laugh on the sets. Acting with him was a great experience. However, you can't look at his face while doing comedy scenes," Raai Laxmi said.

"There were times when I was not able to look at Suraj's face because of the expressions that he made during the shoot. You'll automatically start laughing seeing the expressions on Suraj's face while shooting comedy scenes. During our combination sequences, I often acted by looking somewhere else so that I do not laugh seeing his funny expressions," she said.
