THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Yet another petition has been filed against the release of the report of Justice Hema Committee which studied the problems faced by women in the film industry. Actress Ranjini has filed a petition in the High Court seeking a stay on the release of the report. The actress approached the High Court when the report was to be released on August 17.

The High Court, however, did not pass an interim order on the petition to stay the release of the report. The court stated that it would consider the petition on Monday.

In her petition, Ranjini urged the court to ensure that there is no violation of privacy in the report to be published. The actress, who had given her statement before the Hema Committee, pointed out that the report should be released by providing a copy to those who gave the statement.
