Sexual assault in KSRTC bus; 23-year-old woman punishes youth on spot itself 

KOZHIKODE: A 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in a KSRTC bus. The woman was assaulted in a crowded bus going to Kozhikode from Mananthavady.
Soon after she was sexually assaulted, she beat the youth. Though the driver reported the incident to the police, they did not file a case as the woman said that she has no complaint. The woman said that she had punished him and so is not filing a complaint.

Accused gets RI for sexually abusing woman
MATTANUR: The Mattannur POCSO fast-track court sentenced the accused to 17 years in prison and asked him to pay a fine of Rs 75,000 in the case of sexually abusing a woman. POCSO court judge Anit Joseph sentenced Kottenvida Vinod (59), a resident of Kodiyeri Idayilpeedika. The accused was asked to pay Rs 60,000 to the victim from the fine amount. He needs to undergo the punishment together. The incident happened under limits of the New Mahi police station. The case is that the accused barged into the woman's house and sexually abused her. Sub inspector J S Ratheesh completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet. Special Public Prosecutor P V Sheena appeared for the prosecution.
