THRISSUR: DCC president VK Sreekandan has warned to take strong action if the defamatory posts on social media related to K Muralidharan's election defeat are not withdrawn within 24 hours. Action will be taken against any senior leader who gives protection to those campaigning against the party.
Posters and boards appeared in front of many Congress offices after the defeat. Congress workers may have done so in the wake of defeat. However, it is suspected that someone else has taken advantage of this and put up posters and boards. Activists should be careful against it. Indiscipline will not be tolerated.The party leadership will deliberate and decide whether to proceed with the case in the events that occurred after the election defeat.
VK Sreekandan takes charge
VK Sreekandan MP has taken charge as the interim president of Thrissur DCC following the controversies following K Muralidharan's defeat. VK Sreekandan was received under the leadership of former President Jose Vallur.
Evidence collection tomorrow
A committee comprising KC Joseph, T Siddique and R Chandrasekharan appointed by KPCC to investigate K Muralidharan's defeat will reach Thrissur tomorrow and take evidence. A meeting is scheduled with senior leaders in the morning. In the afternoon, 14 block presidents will be met individually. A committee comprising O Abdurahiman Kutty and Anil Akkara was formed for the preparations related to the Panchayat elections.
