BENGALURU: Kannada actor Darshan, an accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, will remain in police custody for two more days. It was the Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Bengaluru that extended the police custody of Darshan and three other accused for two more days. They will remain in police custody till Saturday. 13 other accused, including Darshan's friend Pavithra Gowda, have been sent to judicial custody. Earlier, the investigation team had questioned Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi in connection with the case.

The shoes worn by Darshan when he went to the shed where Renukaswamy was killed were recovered from Vijayalakshmi's flat. The clothes worn by Darshan on the day of the murder were seized from his costume assistant. The police stated that these two are crucial evidence in the case.

According to the investigation team, Darshan went to Vijayalakshmi's flat in Hosakerehalli after brutally beating up Renukaswamy. He later went to Mysuru from this flat. The actor was arrested by the police from Mysuru on June 11. The investigation team interrogated Vijayalakshmi for around five hours yesterday evening. The police asked Vijayalakshmi if she had noticed any abnormalities in Darshan's behaviour or if he had said anything about the incident. Vijayalakshmi is likely to be made a witness in the case.
