NEW DELHI: The Ramayana serial which made waves in the history of Indian television is making a comeback. The serial is going to be aired on Doordarshan every evening at 6 pm. There will be a re-broadcast every day at 12 noon. This was shared through the channel's official social media account.

Ramayanam serial was written and directed by Ramananda Sagar. It was first broadcast in 1987. Arun Govil played Lord Ram in the show, while Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala played Sita and Sunil Lahri played Lakshman. The serial created a lot of talks in the country. The last episode was aired in 1988. The music was composed by Ravindra Jain. Due to the constant requests of the fans, the serial was aired on Doordarshan even during the Covid period.
