After question paper leak, NTA postpones CSIR UGC NET exam

exam

NEW DELHI: After the cancellation of UGC NET due to the question paper leak, the National Testing Agency has postponed the CSIR UGC NET exam, which was scheduled to be held from June 25 to 27. The National Testing Agency informed that the postponement is due to unavoidable circumstances and some technical reasons. The new date will be announced soon at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Following the NEET, UGC NET exam paper leak, NTA has been much criticized. It is indicated that this is the reason for CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) to extend the NET exam.

At the same time, the Supreme Court has observed that after the very serious revelations about the NEET exam, there is a situation to cancel the exam itself. This was indicated by the vacation bench which considered the related petitions. A bench appointed by the Chief Justice will hear all the petitions on July 8 after the vacation. Justice Vikram Nath said that there is no point in preventing the re-examination as there is a situation to cancel the main examination on May 5.

The bench refused to interfere with pleas seeking postponement of re-examination by the NTA on Sunday and medical counseling to begin on July 6 for 1,563 candidates.

The position of the government is that the counseling will be done.
