NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Manu Bhaker who won India's first medal in the Paris Olympics. The Prime Minister's compliments was through his X page. Modi noted that this is a historic medal.

"This success is even more special as she becomes the first woman to win a medal in shooting for India. An incredible achievement!” Modi added.

The country is celebrating its first medal at the Paris Olympics. India's Manu Bhaker won bronze in the women's 10m air pistol shooting final. Not only Modi but also other leaders are coming forward to congratulate Manu. The star lost the silver medal by a narrow point difference. South Korea is ranked first and second.
