Former principal and academic director of Chinmaya Vidyalaya; National award winner Sugeeta Rajan no more

KANNUR: Chinmaya Vidyalaya's former principal and current academic director Sugeeta Rajan (70) has passed away. She played an important role in starting Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Kannur.

She had won the CBSE Best Teacher Award in 2010 and the National Award for Best Teacher in 2013. Sugeetha, who has served Chinmaya for 39 years, has served as Kannur Sahodaya Chairman, General Secretary and CBSE Inspection Team Member. She was also working as National Testing Agency Central Coordinator and Centre Coordinator. She was directly related to Swami Chinmayananda and led various cultural and social activities related to Chinmayananda.

Sugeeta Rajan is the daughter of the late Prof P Krishnan and Vanaja Krishnan. Her husband is Chinmaya Mission Chief Sevak KK Rajan. Son: Chinmay Krishna Raj. Sister: Late Sangeetha. The body will be placed for public viewing at Talap Chinmaya Bal Bhavan from 10 am and will be cremated at Payyambalam at 11 am.
