'We were married once, but....'; Dharmajan Bolgatty reveals real reason for second marriage

Film actor Dharmajan Bolgatty took centre stage on Monday after he married again his wife Anuja Dharmajan in a modest function held at a temple in Ernakulam. Earlier on Monday, Dharmajan in a Facebook post had revealed the marriage news and asked for blessings from all. And now, he has opened up about his atypical move to marry again after 16 years from the first.

Dharmajan Bolgatty :

“We were married once. To be exact, we both eloped as lovers and got married 16 years ago. The marriage took place at a temple in my hometown. Despite the function, we didn’t register our marriage. And now, we have two children, Vaiga and Vedha, and the eldest is now 15 years old. We felt the need to document our marriage and register it properly, for the secure future of our children.

Both our families went berserk at the news of our eloping but it didn’t take that long for them to come back in terms with us. It only took one year for our families to leave behind their abject disappointment and anger.

As of now, my only regret is not having my father and mother with me to witness my marriage.

Ramesh Pisharody once rebuked me for not registering the marriage and said that I wouldn’t be eligible for proper insurance after my death.”
