B.Ed student dies after scooter collides with lorry; Anagha was SFI district committee member

KOLLAM: A B.ED student, who was a member of the SFI Kollam district committee, died after her scooter collided with a lorry on Monday. The deceased is Anagha Prakash, the daughter of Puthoor native V Prakash and Sujatha.

The accident took place near Saritha Junction on the Kottarakkara-Puthoor Road on Monday afternoon. Anagha was a student of Sree Vidhyadhiraja B.Ed College in Vendar. Her scooter met with the accident while she was going to the teacher training class in the college.

Anagha's scooter collided with a national permit lorry, which was travelling from Puthoor to Kottarakkara. Anagha, who was not wearing a helmet, fell on the road and suffered a serious injury. Although she was taken to a private hospital in Kottarakkara, her life could not be saved. Anagha is also a member of the DYFI Neduvathoor block executive committee. She had been studying and staying in a women's hostel in Kottarakkara as her parents were working outside Kerala. The body is currently kept at the mortuary of the Taluk Hospital.
