KOCHI: Reporter TV Editor-in-Chief MV Nikesh Kumar has quit active media work. He resigned from the official positions of the channel. He took such a decision to work actively in the political arena.
MV Nikesh Kumar said politics was always present in his life. "As a citizen, I want to be a part of public work in various ways. Now I will work as a CPM member. Reporter TV is the organization I gave birth to. My care and love will always be with Reporter. Such a decision is due to the hindrance in being a part of the channel and being active in public work" - explained MV Nikesh Kumar.
Nikesh Kumar, who started his career in media at Asianet News, later joined the Indiavision channel at the age of 30 as an executive editor. Reporter TV was started in 2011. MV Nikesh Kumar is the son of former minister and CMP leader MV Raghavan.
Nikesh Kumar is a media worker who is closely related to CPM. In the 2016 assembly elections, he contested from Azhikode constituency in Kannur district but lost to Muslim League candidate KM Shaji by more than 2,000 votes.
