AI services will be available to everyone initially in English language. The new AI tool can then be used in all existing Meta apps. Text-based services in Meta AI are based on the Llama 2 model. However, the image creation feature is based on the latest Lama 3.

With the advent of Meta AI, all you need to do in WhatsApp is to instruct the app to do something. In short, the user can talk to the Meta AI assistant as if to a person. If you are planning a trip, you can also ask the assistant for advice. Meta AI will be available in the Facebook feed itself. Meta AI can also be used to create images, make WhatsApp stickers and edit images.

Mark Zuckerberg announced at the Meta Connect 2023 event about bringing Meta AI to WhatsApp. Zuckerberg said at the time that the app has provided a special shortcut for AI chats. It's partnership with Microsoft Bing can also provide real-time information.
