Two Odisha natives arrested in Kochi for supplying ganja to migrant workers

KOCHI: Two persons were taken into custody by the Excise for supplying ganja to migrant workers. Ashish Digal and Bulson Digal, natives of Odisha, were caught by a special squad led by Inspector KP Pramod. 1.938 kilograms of ganja have been seized from them.

The accused, terrified of the Excise officials, tried to escape by fleeing through a field filled with slush. However, the Excise team courageously apprehended them. The accused used to buy ganja in large quantities and sell it in small packets to migrant workers and other youths. The raid was conducted based on a tip-off received by Assistant Excise Inspector (Grade) ON Ajayakumar, a member of the Excise Commissioner's central squad.

Assistant Excise Inspector (Grade) S. Rajeev, Preventive Officer C. P. Jineesh Kumar, Preventive Officer (Grade) T. S. Pratheesh, Civil Excise Officers B. Ajith, Siddharth (Commissioner's Squad members), Civil Excise Officer R. Karthik, and Civil Excise Officer drivers Deepak and Badar were part of the squad.
